How to Choose a Product or Market



I remember when I first started looking a business to get into online, I had no idea where to start or how to even begin to choose a product. I was confused with all the information overload and didn’t know who to listen to.

But over time I found what worked for me, time and time again.  I discovered that if I found a group of people who had a burning desire for a solution to their problem, they would buy.  Even most of the gurus would agree that the three hottest niches are:

 

Health

Wealth

Relationships


And why are these hot?  Because people are passionate about these subjects.  They are desperate to find solutions and will gladly purchase those solutions if they believe they will solve their problem.  These people are motivated to buy.

For example, someone with an acne problem is extremely motivated to eliminate that problem so they will look more appealing.  People want to look good and not to look different in an unsightly way.

Someone who has just lost the love of their life is probably desperate to figure out a way to get them back.  You can promote ebooks that can help them learn to address the issues that caused someone to leave them or information that helps them to move on and get over it.

You get the idea.

The beauty of these three niches is that there are endless “sub-niches” that you can specialize in.  Acne is only one small sub-niche of Health.  (I lump Health and Beauty together sometimes because the issues cross over at times, but they are really two separate and unique niches.)

Choose a company to represent that has products/information that work – you may make a little money promoting sub-standard products, but you will never get the repeat business.   You should treat people the way you would like to be treated, so promoting products that don’t really work will not get you very far.
